[ the name raven queen makes an obvious connection, too - vax's black raven feather armor has been on him pretty much daily, and even now rustles gently in the wind as he's talking. despite the teasing at the beginning, he is taking the time to answer each of danny's questions. ] I'm her Champion. Chase down the undead and guide them safely to their final destination, whatever that might be.
Plus, maintaining temples, keeping up shrines. Things like that.

the second part's a little easier, though. vax cocks his head. ] Dimension? Maybe. More like the afterlife. The Raven Queen's domain is death, but it's the place between. Sort of the last stop before your soul moves on to wherever it goes.

...I guess that's kinda like what we have in my world. But there isn't a goddess of death--just a Ghost King, and uh. He's kind of a tyrant that everyone tries to keep sealed away. And I know ghosts can be...destroyed...but I don't know if anyone knows what comes after that--if anything.

That's where most of them are--sometimes they manage to get through to the regular human world, but for the most part they're all in the Ghost Zone. And...I think that place might be infinite? So I don't think it can get crowded.
