They're for Halloween! It's a holiday where you dress up like spooky creatures and monsters. Or, uh, anything you want, nowadays, really. But generally the theme is all things creepy and scary.
Like...a little frightened, yeah! It's fun getting surprised, and seeing everyone else in all sorts of crazy costumes.
