They looked as though they were going to attack me [did they???] and when I prepared to defend myself, one of them sprayed that onto my face somehow.

[she doesn't really sound upset given she got an apology, but the fact remains.]

[ Danny pauses, clears his throat hesitantly, and then offers up a hand to her ]

Let's do this the normal way. My name's Danny. What about you?

[she looks like she's about to say something in response to that first part before she stops herself, nodding instead as she takes his hand to shake.]
