Oh - hello there.
[she looks up at him, then back down at the plants.]
Harvesting echinacea. I planted some last week, and it looks like it's grown nicely.

Echinacea, huh? That's a medicinal one, right? I think I've heard of it before.

[she nods]
That's right. It's useful in treating a variety of ailments, and drinking tea made from it regularly can make you less likely to get sick in the first place.

It eases sore throats and coughs, and can help to bring down fevers. It's effective against some infections, as well.
Some of the books I've read have described it as a "cure-all" for minor illnesses.

Well, then, chop chop, doctor. I've got a whole lot of wounds just ripe for infection. Looks like I'm gonna need all the echinacea you can spare.

[she huffs, but the corners of her lips almost twitch up into a smile.]
What do you take me for? No way will your wounds get infected with Sir Chang and me around.

Yes, yes.
[...]
Actually, I was thinking I would plant some more things. Aloe vera is useful for burns.

You'll have to wait for that.
[also it'll be more of a slathering than a stuffing but that just sounds weird.]

Not longer than it'll take for this all to heal on its own, I hope. Maybe we can get Shale to like, supercharge its growth?

Ah... the impression I get from them is that they prefer to let things grow naturally.

I think this is one race I'd prefer to lose - I'm wishing you a speedy recovery, after all.
